Training on the quayside
You do not learn offshore engineering in a classroom. On the KAAP quayside there are set-ups where trainee technicians climb, hoist and work on equipment in the same conditions as at sea.
Education and industry together
WindDock develops the programme together with Scalda and the companies that maintain the wind farms. That way the training matches exactly what the sector needs.
Safety you cannot get from a book
By practising faults and emergency scenarios in a safe environment, technicians build up the routine that makes the difference offshore.

Tidal turbine at the Vlissingen locks
Water2Energy is building an improved tidal turbine at the culvert next to the Vlissingen locks, with blade control that raises the yield considerably.
