- Water safety Much of Zeeland lies below sea level. Keeping dikes, barriers and quays strong, even as the sea rises, is one of the big tasks in the delta.
- Water quality Clean water is the basis for nature, farming and drinking water. Measuring, purifying and spotting pollution early: that is what this is about.
- Water availability Fresh water is scarce in a delta, especially in dry summers. Retaining, storing, reusing and distributing it smartly, so there is enough for farming, nature and business.
