Accelerating the energy transition from the delta
On energy, the Zeeland partners are building Energy Campus Zeeland, with a physical home at KAAP in Vlissingen. Companies test offshore wind, tidal and hydrogen applications here at real scale, together with education and research institutes. The ambition is to triple the current pilot in both surface area and impact.

Kenniswerf x Vlissingen Waterstof werkt
Joost Grevink (Waterstoflab, Scalda en HZ)
Hoe HZ University of Applied Sciences en Scalda waterstof praktisch en opschaalbaar in het onderwijs brengen. Zeeland heeft een grote CO2-opgave, maar juist dat biedt kansen: waterstof als buffer voor windenergie, en een nieuw waterstoflab waar theorie en praktijk samenkomen.

Gerben en Ferry over hoe onderwijs, onderzoek en bedrijfsleven samenwerken aan drones, robots, slimme onderhoudstechnologie en internationale opleidingsroutes. Zeeland als Europese hub voor offshore energie-innovatie.
Kenniswerf x Vlissingen Van afval naar waarde
Caroline Passenier (Scalda) en Jeroen van Schaik (Impuls Zeeland)
Caroline en Jeroen laten zien hoe Zeeland van lineair naar circulair gaat: reststromen in plaats van afval, een oogstplan in plaats van slopen, de biomeiler als warmtebron, en regelruimte om te experimenteren.

- Offshore wind and maintenance at sea Offshore wind farms only run if people and technology keep them going. That training and testing happens here on the quay, before it goes out to sea.
- Inspection with drones and robots Inspecting a turbine blade or a quay wall without sending anyone up. The setups for that are built and demonstrated here.
- Energy from tides and currents Zeeland has tides, currents and locks. Turbines that harvest energy from them are tested here, right where the water actually flows.
- Smart energy systems and storage Generating is one thing, the grid coping with it is another. Charging systems, battery storage and local energy grids get a full-scale setup here.
- Hydrogen and system integration Making, storing and fitting hydrogen into the energy system of the port. The HZ hydrogen lab is on the Kenniswerf, and companies such as HyER Power work here on the technology behind it.

ORE Netwerk Zeeland
Offshore Renewable Energy Netwerk Zeeland
ORE Netwerk Zeeland connects companies, education, research institutes and government around offshore renewable energy. The approach: test on land first, then apply safely at sea. The network runs four lines, from profiling and business development to research, innovation and the labour market. Zephyros, WindDock and Energy Port Zeeland have merged into it and still run their own activities within it. Companies such as Water2Energy and Terra Inspectioneering have joined.
Zephyros
Field lab for offshore wind and maintenance
Zephyros is the Zeeland field lab for offshore wind energy and maintenance. From KAAP, the network works on scenario-based learning, control room research and developing the nacelle further as a training and research environment.
WindDock
Training ground for wind maintenance technicians
WindDock trains the next generation of maintenance technicians for offshore wind farms in a realistic working environment at the Zeeland harbour, linked to research within Zephyros and KAAP.
Energy Port Zeeland
Energy port for wind, hydrogen and system integration
Energy Port Zeeland brings together the port-related energy activities: offshore wind, hydrogen production, storage and system integration. The network connects industry, ports and knowledge to speed up the transition in the south-western delta.
